It's time to start searching for a way back home but first he must forage for materials and supplies to survive until he is rescued. Our survivor leaves the safety of his lifepod and finds himself in a strange underwater world, where mineral-rich coral reefs and friendly fish and other fauna thrive in the shallow water. Unbenownst to him, he crash-lands on the ocean planet 4546B, luckily in the middle of the Safe Shallows biome. As always, I have included links to the pictures I used down below.ĭescription: Our lone survivor has narrowly escaped the doomed ship Aurora and has ejected to safety in Lifepod 5.

However, this is my first time I am using the Bluerender software to render LDD images, so I hope that the images I have posted here are of better quality than before. How I did it: As with my first two sets - "Reaper Leviathan Attack" and "Survivors of the Degasi" - (check out the Degasi set on my page and make sure to smash that support button), I used the Subnautica Wiki as well as my own copy of the game and recreated portions of the Safe Shallows biome, Lifepod 5, and the Mobile Vehicle Bay using the LEGO Digital Designer. It is called "Exploring the Safe Shallows", and it depicts the player's first experience of the game, which is his lifepod crash-landing onto the ocean planet, 4546B, in the biome known as the Safe Shallows. Sometimes, the ray can be attacked by Brute Sharks, indicating that it is not at the top of its food web.My Project: Based on the popular underwater survival game SUBNAUTICA, created by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, this is my third Subnautica LEGO set that I have created. The Arctic Ray can be seen preying on smaller fish that it finds nearby (despite what the databank says), but it will be passive towards the player. Alternatively, it is possible that some of these are mere eyespots, and the number of actual eyes is lower.

There is one central oval-shaped eye on either side, larger than all of the others and embedded into the body, with six smaller eyes protruding from the sides of the body attached to slender eye stalks for a total of fourteen eyes. On the central body is an extremely odd arrangement of eyes - seven on both the dorsal and ventral sides of the body, all of which glow bright pink. On the underside of the ray's front fins is a small mouth filled with sharp teeth. The Arctic Ray has a strange swimming motion, wherein it twists its body back and forth between the pairs of fins, rather than flapping each pair. Two stalks protrude from the front on the dorsal side. The creature sports two large pairs of fins on each side of its body, with the front pair being smaller than the posterior ones. The ventral side of the ray seems to be mostly cyan in color, with the dorsal side being red. The tail is club-shaped, purple in color and adorned with two translucent blue fins. The Arctic Ray's body is bulky and turquoise in color, covered with horizontal red stripes from the eyes to the tail.
